Women & Girls' Cricket Sponsorship

In a five-year deal NFU Mutual Central-South Warwickshire is supporting the Knowle & Dorridge Cricket Club's Women and Girls' section.

Our new, groundbreaking partnership includes sponsorship of club kit, match livestreaming, player of the year award, and other initiatives, to support the development and growth of female cricket in the community.

Knowle & Dorridge Cricket Club (K&DCC) has set an ambitious plan to support the continued growth of its women and girls’ cricket programme. A key part of the plan was the appointment of Chloe Hill as the club’s first Head of Women and Girls’ Cricket and establishing dedicated winter and summer training sessions.

As a result the club has been able to enter a record number of female teams for the 2024 season, including a dedicated Under 11s XI and a new Women’s Development XI, as well as Under 13s and 15s sides which are progressing well in the ECB national competitions.

Danny James, Managing Partner of NFU Mutual Central-South Warwickshire, said: “Interest in woman and girls’ cricket has exploded in recent years, and the game has been transformed by the Hundred, increased tv and radio coverage of the domestic as well as international game, and the continued success of our national team.

“Sustaining that momentum requires real investment and commitment at the grassroots level, so we are delighted to support the ambitious plans at Knowle & Dorridge to build a strong and successful programme for women and girls in this community.”

Welcoming the partnership, Chloe said: “Developing women and girls’ cricket is really important to K&D and it’s great to see the game thriving across Warwickshire.

“I'm delighted to have secured a long-term partnership commitment with NFU Mutual South-Central Warwickshire. Their commitment will help us create a thriving and sustainable women’s and girls’ programme, and the players are really looking forward to working with them.”
