Insurance overview
Personal Legal Expenses Extra Insurance gives you even wider cover than our standard level of Personal Legal Expenses Insurance.
As well as providing access to a telephone helpline for legal advice, cover is provided for a wider array of civil disputes, work and motor related criminal defence and jury and court attendance.
What's covered:
- Civil disputes relating to: your work and employment, your home or second home, health, education, inheritance, consumer rights.
- Criminal defence, costs to defend you against criminal prosecutions relating to: your work as an employee, your motor vehicle.
- Jury and court attendance
What's not covered:
- Civil disputes connected with any commercial activities you are involed in.
- Civil disputes defending claims against you for property damage or personal injury (apart from counter claims).
- Civil disputes related to physical or mental health that were not caused by a specific or sudden incident, or by negligent medical procedure.
- Criminal defence in connection with parking or obstruction offences, or driving without valid motor insurance.
Legal Expenses Insurance is administered by DAS Legal Expenses Insurance Company Limited.
The features and exclusions listed are not exhaustive. Your cover will depend on your circumstances. Maximum limit of £100,000 for any one claim for NFU Mutual Home Insurance and £150,000 for NFU Mutual Bespoke Home Insurance. Exclusions apply.
